INTRO
Spire is a home emergency insurance specialist with a simple belief: customers deserve to be treated with care, honesty and respect. Built around the promise of "Insurance that loves you back", the business set out to challenge perceptions of a sector often associated with complexity, jargon and impersonal service.THE CHALLENGE
The insurance market is crowded with providers offering similar products, messaging and visual identities. Spire needed a brand that would help it stand apart from established competitors while communicating its commitment to friendly, straightforward customer service.The challenge was to create an identity that felt approachable and human without sacrificing trust and credibility — two qualities that are essential within the insurance sector.
THE SOLUTION
We developed a brand identity centred around clarity, warmth and simplicity. The visual language adopted a straightforward, no-nonsense approach that reflected the company's honest and customer-focused ethos, while a distinctive colour palette helped position the brand away from the more traditional visual conventions of the sector.At the heart of the identity was a carefully crafted logotype featuring a subtle reference to the home, reinforcing the nature of the service without relying on obvious or overused industry symbols. The result was a distinctive and approachable brand that reflected Spire's values and positioned the business as a more human alternative within a highly competitive market.
